Paris Interview on Larry King

Posted by Bobby on June 29, 2007

I haven’t been posting much on here due to my tight schedule with school this summer. I have also tried my hardest to steer clear of this Paris nonsense (which is a chore with all the media coverage), but this Larry King interview just threw me over the edge. Here is a little bit of it:

If you didn’t watch it, I’ll highlight some major points here. First of all, she lied. Flat out lied. I don’t blame Larry King for that. He boosts about the fact he doesn’t do homework on his guests before shows, plus… well, he has to be at least 115 years old. If you didn’t watch the video above, he asked her if she had ever done drugs. She said no. In the video above, after that question/answer, the author showed video footage of Paris smoking pot. Smooth Paris.

Second, this just dumbs down journalism horribly. This interview was laughable. Absolutely laughable. But at least Larry asked her some really tough questions. Lets recap a few:

“Have you ever had a meal with Stalin?”

“I hear there is a city in France your named after. What is it?”

Oh and let’s not forget the incredibly intuitive…

“What hotel chain is your family involved in?”

Gore? Peace?

Posted by Bobby on June 12, 2007

As you might know, Al Gore has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with global warming. The following is a video of Al Gore during the first Bush Sr. administration. Not only does this guy not deserve the peace prize due to his blatant call for war against Iraq, as of present day, all of this has been forgotten. Gore has blasted the current Bush administration for its policies in Iraq. All the while forgetting about his “pleas” during the Reagan and Bush administrations to look into Iraq. Regardless, he does not deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

Celebration! (For Now)

Posted by Bobby on June 8, 2007

After two votes today, Harry Reid tried push the immigration bill through the senate on to the house. He failed both times. He says that he is pushing the bill aside and moving onto other business. The American people have spoken and our senator finally listened. Well, half of them did.

Immigration Bill Keeps Rolling Along

Posted by Bobby on June 7, 2007

I have to be honest. I am really, really, really trying to look at this bill objectively. Not because its what’s best for this country or anything, but because our president, someone I have stood up for, has put so much bank into this thing. So after many weeks of quiet reflection, I have come to a conclusion that I honestly haven’t heard anyone else say: If this bill passes, nothing will change. And this is how I got there:

All of the enforcement provisions in this bill are not going to be enforced. We have these laws on the books now and they are not being enforced. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have this problem. There is no reason for them to be enforced, so they just simply won’t.

Now for the amnesty part. As it stands, in order for an illegal to get citizenship, the illegal has to pay a fine, go home, learn English, and get to the back of the line for citizenship. There are two reasons why people come to this country illegally: to work or to escape their oppressive governments. In order to work, they don’t need citizenship. Just get a Z-visa. And if they came to escape their ex-governments, would they really come forward only to be forced to go home and start a 13 year process? If they do happen to want citizenship, they will not follow these guidelines.

And the Z-visa thing. What is the difference between the Z-visa’s and how they are working now? If they get a Z-visa, they have to pay a fine. Without it, they don’t. With a Z-visa, they have to pay taxes. Without it, they don’t. Starting to see my point? And don’t they have to keep a steady job in order to stay in the country on the visa? Some of these illegals stand outside Home Depot and work when they find it. Will they come forward? Sure, without the visa, they are in danger of being deported, but if we actually enforced the deportation laws, we, again, wouldn’t have this problem.

And don’t forget about those illegals with a criminal record. They are supposed to be deported immediately. Will they come forward?

So its simple. The laws enforcing immigration will not be enforced, and illegals will most likely not come forward for all the reasons I mentioned above. Why would they?

But, don’t worry. This thing hasn’t made it out of the senate yet, and it’s about to fall apart already. And even if it makes it out of the senate, it still has to undergo house scrutiny, and Pelosi does not support this bill.

Now That It Effects Them

Posted by Bobby on June 3, 2007

While President Bush and pro-amnesty members of Congress are pushing an unpopular immigration “reform” bill that would bestow American citizenship on millions of people who have no regard for America’s laws, liberal Democrats across the Washington region are increasingly complaining about overcrowded houses, noise, loitering and general public nuisance — all caused by illegal aliens…

Listening recently to frustrated folks call a local radio talk show to vent about illegal aliens loitering in front of stores and cramming into $400,000 houses in their neighborhoods, I wondered if those same liberals accused pro-enforcement Americans of being “nativists,” “xenophobes” and “racists” for complaining about the same problems.

Now that illegal aliens have migrated to their neighborhoods, such liberals have become pro-enforcement all of a sudden. Source

Yep, just as I thought. Now that this effects liberals in their own neighborhoods, they suddenly see a problem with illegal immigration. I guess the liberal definition of diversity is “its okay, as long as it doesn’t effect me.”

Shocking? Nothing shocks me about libs anymore.

Terror Plot on JFK Airport Foiled

Posted by Bobby on June 2, 2007

Fox News Report:

Authorities arrested three people and were seeking a fourth in an alleged terror plot that planned to blow up a fuel line feeding into John F. Kennedy International Airport that runs through residential neighborhoods, authorities said.

At a news conference, U.S. Attorney Roslynn R. Mauskopf called it “one of the most chilling plots imaginable.”

“The devastation that would be caused had this plot succeeded is just unthinkable,” she said.

Now, I could go on and on about how blind Liberals are; how Jihad and Radical Islam are dangerous and how we are the center of their cross hairs; how irresponsible someone like John Edwards is for calling the War on Terror a “bumper sticker slogan” and the irony of something like this happening just a little over a week after he said it, but I won’t. The proof is in the pudding (as they say).

Of course, I’m sure someone like Ron Paul would probably say we deserved this anyway.
